MAIN MUSIC ACTIVITIES
Early teens begin cassette tape recorder experiments. Ages 14 to 15 Piano lessons to Grade 3. Bit after that, abuse-'"play' cheap Spanish guitar from my mum's playgroup.
1979-82 Epileptic Ducks (cassettes). Several cassette album DIY releases. Appeared on compilations with future members of Hawkwind, Smell & Quim, Muslimgauze solo artist, Cleaners From Venus, Scottish punk band etc
1980 University Radio Nottingham interviewed talking about Syd Barrett.
1980-81 destroyed duo tape album ! (Way Off Beat). Backing tracks still have
1984- 87 New 7th Music concert performance & recording session & associated afterwards stuff including various artist vinyl LP tracks. . /
Domestic improvisations with others
1985 Nottingham Fringe Festival improvised duo set on keyboard with a saxophone player.
1986 - 91 Mail Art music and artwork.
1988 - cassettes of analogue synth playing given to and subsequently used by Stock, Hausen & Walkman (including on later BBC Radio 3 concert broadcast)
1988 attended Elton Dean (ex-Soft Machine) workshop
1987-94 The Stinking Badger. Home recordings solo project, made several cassette albums including 'Under The Mattress','Stabile Estimates' and others. Occasional guests on some tracks. Thumb piano, sampler, short wave radio, analogue synth, field recordings etc sounds.
1992 - 2010 The 'A' Band Artwork contributions for Siltbreeze LP sleeves and other releases / Performances in Nottingham (including degree show art installation residency), London, Leeds, Sheffield, Warrington, Birmingham, Leicester. Recording sessions for cassette & CD releases.
1993 attend workshops of Hans Reichel & Robert Fripp at Nottingham Guitar Festival
1993-4 King Mouse : leaning towards the Avant, rock band. Nik Turner & Pinkwind (Pink Fairies/Hawkwind) support spot, Nottingham jam sessions & live performances.
1997 Synthesized String Quartet (recorded 1994) release on Racing Room split cassette.
Teledu "Witchkitchen" cassette, Self-released ltd..edition album & released on Oral Gestation Artefacts label in USA.
Musical instrument shop weekend job for several months in Nottingham.
2001 Arts Council Music Research & Development grant award.
2000 'Acronyms Volume 1' ltd.ed self-released CD-r album
1998-2003 Witchkitchen duo with writer Gaia Holmes (texts and vocals). Recording sessions at Colin Potter's (Nurse With Wound member) ICR studio for USA-based Ventricle label.
1999 Arts Council Improvised Music Touring grant for Axis Trio performances with film Nottingham,Coventry, London, Sheffield, Leeds
2001 1st prize winning covers project entry of track by TheThe
2000-2002 Porkrubber avant rock group. Nottingham recording sessions & performances in Northampton and York..
2003-4 Fand improvising music group, Performances in Nottingham and Derby. Monthly recording sessions at Trent University Performing Arts music studio.
2004 - 2008 Plexus improvised music group. Performances in Loughborough, Northampton, Leicester (with Damo Suzuki). Recording sessions in Loughborough, Leicester, Market Harborough,Cardiff,Nottingham. Promotion of Club Sporadic experimental music events in Loughborough plus lighting.
2006 Poole Lighthouse arts centre. Improvised music session with Zaum (I on electric guitar).
2007 James Tenney composition concert performance with Quattor Bozzini (BBC radio 3 broadcast).
2011Teledu Soiling Charge CD-r album.
2014 Moog analogue synthesiser on 1 track on Mass Spectrometer "Guild Hall" CD EP.
2017-19 Inclusive Sounds music sessions @ Huddersfield Lawrence Batley Theatre , occasional participation (electric guitar, acoustic piano).
2020 Solo track included on Isolation album (Liminal Obsessional label ) .
2024 - Fi Duo with Jonathan Moss (electronics, saxophones etc)
